The Wisdom Project, The Open Source Think Tank
This is the S&T questions page of the Wisdom Project - there are many other pages - and the project is dedicated to
"fulfill the true promise of the think tank concept by using an open source model. Anyone, including you, has the power to shape the final published results. You have the power to open any problem up for discussion and to develop solutions to any problem. Your judgment determines which solutions are best and which contributors receive recognition. At the Wisdom Project, your wisdom and knowledge is empowered to help change the world.
Our purpose is to foster wisdom and develop solutions to our most urgent problems. Whether or not that goal is accomplished is entirely up to you. Let's put our minds together to build a better future."
This is still very much in early stages. Cf also the Wilkipedia.
